Born in 2022 and grown 4.8x since, the Maldives Half Marathon is the nation's flagship distance event — bringing together international runners, local athletes, and first-timers for a race like no other.
With 305 registered half marathon runners in 2025, MHM is officially the largest half marathon in the country. As of April 2026, we already have over 130 half marathon participants, including 30 international runners.
The race is AIMS certified, part of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, the home of world running.

The Maldives is one of the lowest-lying nations on Earth — most of our islands sit barely a meter above the sea. Reefs aren't just habitat. They're a physical defense line. 3–5% of every race fee goes directly to protecting Maldivian marine ecosystems.

Expect tropical conditions — warm and humid. We start the Half Marathon at 5:15 AM specifically to avoid the heat of the day.

3–5% of every race fee is donated. In 2026, all funds go to Save The Beach to support a coral reef restoration project in Villingili, the 5th ward of Malé City. We've donated Rf 57,000 to date with a 2026 target of Rf 30,000.
Yes — corporates, resorts, and sports clubs can enter as a team. Five sub-categories (Small/Medium/Large Business, Resorts & Hotels, Sports Clubs) compete for four awards: Biggest Team, Distance Team, Team Spirit, and Health & Wellness.
Yes — bag drop is available at the race village, and water stations are positioned along the course with enthusiastic volunteers.
